Happy Day after Thanksgiving!!!

Today we went shopping... boy oh boy don't think we will do that again really only needed one thing for our son. Got it and should have headed home to sleep but we kept on to other stores, we didn't find anything we needed at the second store, we got a few things for the girls at the next store and we ended up with a new laptop for me at the last store, so I'm back online.

The new baby arrived shortly after my last post due to the fact that I had HIGH blood pressure and I have recently been taken off the meds to bring it down back to normal. YEAH ***Throws confetti***

Abigail arrived on Oct 30th at 2:24 am weighing 5 lbs and 13 oz (which is good for being 5 weeks early)!!
There are pics on my Facebook page and on AtlasQuest.

Let's see what has been going on....

JerBear is still working in Louisiana so the doctor is inducing the baby on Nov 25th, yes that's right the day BEFORE thanksgiving(thanksgiving being my parents' 48th wedding anniversary) which means I will prolly get out of the hospital on my birthday Nov. 27th--yeehaw! Nov. 28th being my mother in law's birthday -- I don't think we have to buy anything we are giving her something she can play with for a long time.

Princess Minty and Star Commander have birthdays this month(OCT). Star Commander on the 9th and Princess Minty on the 17th, they are both enjoying public school. They seemed to have gotten the teachers that best fit each of them.

I deleted the baby widget since it wasn't working right and I can't figure out how to get it to update but I filled you in on all of that.

I am planning a letterboxing event (my first) in May of 2010 I figure by then Baby Goofy will be ready to meet some more letterboxers I plan to show BG off in NC at the end of January granted we don't have another ice storm that time of year like we did last year...

That's all the news that's fit to print at this time. Good night and God bless!! **And Keep Healthy **

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile

I have been so tired from all the travels and the pregnancy.

At the end of June we flew to Massachusetts to the Merry Pranksters' event Tune IN/ Toon OUT

and in July we drove to Palo Duro Canyon to plant some boxes for Cyclonic and Schizokeet's honeymoon and then the next weekend I took my noxer Mom and kids to LBCON in St. Louis, MO

We are getting ready to go on a planting trip to Arkansas so Shiloh has some new boxes to find.

Off to fix up one of six boxes to be planted, see you soon!!

Red Rock Canyon Boxes

I received a report that some of the boxes at Red Rock were unfortunately missing. One turned out to be there just too vague of clues to find them. I have re carved and re planted the three of mine that were missing (the covered wagon, ox and water bucket). Jerry hid them and then gave me somewhat good directions to put in the clues. Yes I tend to do directions than clues to my boxes as my husband is direction oriented in his job. I will have to get better at writing clues instead of directions so it's a little more mysterious.

Was great!!! I went from 147 boxes found to 165 yeah!!!! and there are still some down there so we will be going down to get the rest of them next time Jerry is home. yeah!!!! Unfortunately I forgot my camera and so I have no photos to post = ( sorry about that. Shiloh did make it to over 100 boxes yeah***throws confetti*** I am so happy he could get there.

I still need to make it to Bernice State Park sometime soon so I can plant the series of four that they are wanting up there. Maybe I can get my mom to go with me and the kids later this week, then I need to carve a stamp for the hicks from the sticks, and make some LTCs for a friend and I'm sure there is something else that needs to be done but can't think of it right now!!!

WOW!!!What fun, I'm glad it was only an 8 hour drive compared to 16 for NC. I picked up 34 exchanges which means lots more friends now... I got 8 to 10 boxes....1 HH and several cooties which I passed out and was thinking I wouldn't come home with any........BUT there was a TEXAS TICK (ziplock bag with cooties in it) clipped to our tent when we came back from the group camp area and the funny thing was two of the cooties in the bag were MINE!!!!

That was fun!!! I am looking forward to the next event here in OK down at Lake Murray!!!
I have been busy with carving new stamps, I will show you here:

Cache finds!!!

well I tried to find Adams Creek Returns and where the buffalo roams and Mother road 19

I knew Mother Road 19 is there but there is construction going on not far from it so I can't get it when I am out and about running errands.

Adams Creek Returns I think is gone.

Today Waspslayer and I are going to try for Where the Buffalo Roams, Fort Reno, Grascar and the library and some others. She is here and we are off see you later!!! = )
*************UPDATE: UPDATE: UPDATE: *****************
WELL this is what we had time to find.....We went to FORT RENO and Dusty is gonna kick himself when he gets back down here and finds this one...and then I took Waspslayer to Grascar, Adams Park, Park and Grab 2, and Rinehart Park that I already had. We then went to the library and it was an interesting search I liked this one. Where the Buffalo Roams we will try for tomorrow after she gets off work.

Planting with Penguin Patrol

Princess Minty, Star Commander and I went to Ardmore to help Penguin Patrol with planting for her April event at Lake Murray fortunately we had a wonderful day for it, unfortunately it was HOT and the kids got tired after planting three boxes but we got to hang out with Penguin Patrol at her house and get to know her better. I also got to look through her logbooks (see it's plural there were lots of logbooks). Well I gave her three boxes to plant and I hope to go and help her some more before the event maybe when JerBear is home and can play with the kids while PP and I plant. If she doesn't wait on me it's okay too. But I don't want her to feel that she has to do it all by herself.

we went to a museum too and saw an electric car here are photos:

Jerry gets word that he has to go to Louisana for the rig -- oh no!!! We all went to church in Hinton, OK. We took adairmd with us (I forgot we got a few more caches in El Reno like Adams Pavillion and Rock Island on Sat.) but we were going to plant letterboxes in Red Rock Canyon today.

I have two boxes planted there already; one by Triforce and one by me. When planting those Jerry had mentioned planting some more there so thus was born the "Hitch up yer wagon" series. I carved a covered wagon, an ox, supplies (two stamps one of a sack of flour and one of a can of beans), a water bucket and a campfire. So Waspslayer and Boots joined adairmd, Princess Minty, Star Commander and I to hike the trail and plant the boxes. They also found the other two that were there. Adairmd had a second motive and we cached while there too. He was trying for 500 caches by Monday unfortunately he didn't make it but we got 4 in Red Rock and another while going back to El Reno and then when in El Reno tried for a few more which we had fun getting at night(night caching is the best and not many muggles out and no one sees what you are doing).

We had a lot of fun hiking Red Rock and I took some pics here ya go:

adventures adventures lots of adventures....

Oh my where do I begin... Friday, February 20th JerBear's 45th birthday he actually got a day off from work woo hoo!!! I took him to eat at his favorite Greek and Mediterranean Restaurant here in town for lunch. Then I went to my friend's house to pick up a precious 17 month old that we babysat for the night and part of Saturday. We all went out to eat at the Chinese place where she lives... wooo hoo that baby can put away some food!!! : ) Then on Saturday adairmd met up with us to teach me about my new GPS unit (I geocache too) and we went after one at Fort Reno picking up a benchmark while we were there but not the geocache but I have a good lead as to where it is. I also led adairmd to my letterbox outside of the fort. Then we were off to the state wide meet and night caching after getting the two with the cachers from the meeting we were on our way back to El Reno. I drive and adairmd says there is one here before we leave the park, I pull the truck over and say lets get it. Princess Minty finds it!!! As we leave town he mentions another one so we stop to get it. I ask what kind of container we are looking for and as he is describing it, I say like the one hanging in the tree above your head. And sure enough there it was, woo hoo for Goofy girl = ).

Boxin' in North Carolina

Hey hey we are back and getting into the groove of things here in Oklahoma again after spending a week traveling to NC and back. When we left on Jan. 27th we left in an ice storm (saw a car spin out in front of us and hubby thought I would turn around --- NNNOOOO). And when we did finally arrive and get some rest, we went boxing getting one of theseekers1108 boxes. Then we met up with theseekers1108 (Charlie and Dina) and Mom2two(Lynn) and boxed in South Carolina, we even picked up a geocache in SC. Mom2two went to lunch with us but then had to leave as she was leaving The Celtic Clan joined us for the rest of lunch and to pick up another box just down the road from the restaurant Carolina Crossings (try the humdinger-good stuff Maynard).

Friday night we get a call from ElectricMedic and meet up with them at Tradewinds just down the road from our hotel (can you believe they actually stayed at the same place as the Goofy group heaven help them-lol). Thankfully we didn't have any impressions left by the pick up truck this time. *whew*

Saturday the event did I leave to go boxing??? No, I stayed at the building and did exchanges, table top boxes and the boxes hidden outside.

But thats okay I talked Dina into driving me around on Sunday to make sure I made it to 100 boxes only needed 10. She takes me to 29 WOW!!! we also had an interesting experience at the hanging tree cementary. Have Dina tell you about it!! Jerry wants to come back to NC for a haunted tour - which he NEVER wants to do woo hoo we have won him over!!!

Have fun looking at the photos!! GG = )

We went boxing at Lake Murray!!!

The kids on the trail and Reader Rabbit Boxing Buddy looking over clues!!!
We went boxing today at Lake Murray we set out to nab 9 boxes but we ended up nabbing 3 and will go for the others later... I took some pics while we were out.
I want to thank Penguin Patrol for planting these boxes one was her carving of Gene Autry-a must have and the location is wonderful hubby had fun wandering around this one's location.
Then it was off to the lake and we found Music Woman's beautiful caving of a medieval romantic another must have so glad others are willing to share their stamps with other states like ours. and then down the trail to get a hat-a stamp carved by Allemeyn another must have for any logbook I love the trail and my family had fun trekking it with me...

January 2008 My first halfway across country letterboxing trip !!!

The first of the new year found my two children and I traveling to meet a LOT of WONDERFUL letterboxers in North Carolina at Dixie's event.

I left El Reno, Ok on Thursday morning and we reached Jackson, TN by 5 pm that night. We got up the next morning and made it to Fletcher, NC by around 6 pm. We met with Knit Wit that night at McDonald's.

The next morning we met theseekers1108 and unfortunately while leading me to a park to grab some boxes I left a memorable impression on them...
I wasn't the only one to rearend them that day two hours later another lady got inbetween us and theseekers and tapped them too. What a day that was!!! Mountain Mysteries and Legends was GREAT and the Event stamp was Impressive - great job Raven Wolf (I will have to make it to CO sometime to meet all the wonderful carvers and boxers out there)

Our next adventure is to go back to North Carolina for theseekers1108 Movie Madness: Take 2 event on Jan 31st. My hubby is able to accompany the kids and me this time so hopefully no impressions will be left... We will be stopping in AR to meet Shiloh and do some boxing (I believe he will get a Goofy experience by doing box maintaince with us as we box).

Type at ya later and remember that "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely but to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand and cola in the other, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO!!! What a ride!"

December 2008

December took us back to Tulsa for a mini meet where we saw Okie Dog and FishinMom and adairmd again but got to meet TulsaGal, Lucy Lockett(all the way from TX) and Safari Man(all the way from OH)!!! Food, friends and letterboxing no better way to spend a day!!!!

I wore pink for Safari Man and of course COOTIES were involved - ya know those are two things Safari Man loves tremendously!!!

= P

In November 2008

We journeyed to Tulsa, Ok to meet Okie Dog, FishinMom and adairmd on November 1st for an itsy bitsy meet #2!!

There was fun had by all and the goofy group was introduced to geocaching via adairmd(who had the GPS unit) and firemonkey(who planted them).

Thanks Okie Dog for hosting and putting it all together, Hugs and Kisses bunnies had fun at the park too!!

Then Waspslayer and Boots and I were off to Ardmore, OK to meet Penguin Patrol and do some boxing....

we had an eventful 2008!

Let's begin with finding Atlas Quest again in August, I believe it was, and we were off to trip over Tupperware in the woods. (I capitalized Tupperware because I am a consultant for them.) Well then came in the interest to have boxing buddies come visit us and go boxing. OH my Princess Minty and Star Commander were all for that. We received Blue Bunny all the way from Hong Kong and she came with presents it was Easter in September for the kids....
And after doing some boxing with Blue bunny....

We received Hugs and Kisses Bunnies from New York and for a short time we had Blue Bunny and Hugs and Kisses Bunnies but all got along famously because they are cousins-somehow!!

Look what did!!

Hey look I wanted to set one of these up for the new year and I've done it!
